Your site works at its own preview address from day one. When you're ready, connect a domain you already own from the Connect domain tab in your dashboard. Connecting it is included in your plan, SSL (the padlock) is set up for you automatically, and the domain always stays in your name.
How it works.
Your dashboard shows the exact DNS records to add where you bought your domain, like GoDaddy or Namecheap. It checks every 20 seconds and shows "Connected and working" once the records are live. Changes usually show up within an hour. Don't have a domain yet? Email us and we'll help you get one.
How to connect it.
In your dashboard at app.firstgen.dev, open the Connect domain tab. It's there from the day your site goes live.
Type the domain you own, like yourbusiness.com, and press Connect. Your dashboard then shows the records you need.
Copy the DNS records your dashboard shows you, exactly as they appear, one at a time, so nothing gets mistyped.
Sign in where you manage your domain's DNS and add each record.
Leave the page open. It checks every 20 seconds until it says "Connected and working".
