Refund Policy
Last updated /
A 30-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. How to ask, what happens to your site, and how cancelling works.
The short version
This policy is part of the Terms of Service (firstgen.dev/legal/terms) between Nexus Media LLC dba FirstGen ("FirstGen") and your business. It's every refund rule we have.
Your preview is free to look at. You pay $197 on the day you make your site live. If you're not happy for any reason, email support@firstgen.dev within 30 days and we'll refund it in full, no questions asked.
In a table:
Looking at your preview: Free. Held for 14 days. What you pay: $0.
Within 30 days of paying: Full refund on request. Your site pauses. What you pay: $0 for that charge.
After 30 days: Not refundable. Cancel anytime, no more charges. What you pay: $197 a month until you cancel.
The 30 days count from your first payment. Later monthly charges aren't covered.
What you get back
The whole charge: $197 for the first month, plus any sales tax on it. Not a part of it, and not a credit.
The refund goes back through Stripe to the card you paid with. Your bank can take a few more days to show it.
Taking the refund ends your subscription and pauses your site. You won't be charged again, and there's nothing else to cancel.
We never charge a fee to refund or to cancel.
When you can ask
Any time within 30 days of your first payment, counted from the date on the Stripe receipt. You don't need a reason.
After 30 days, charges aren't refundable. You can still cancel anytime, and you won't be charged again.
No conditions
There's nothing to qualify for. We don't ask why, and we don't ask you to try anything first. All we need:
The email address you checked out with, or your business name.
Which charge you want back, if there's more than one.
That the email reaches us within 30 days of paying.
If we can't tell which account you mean, we'll reply and ask. Asking for a refund never affects how we treat you.
What happens to your site
Your preview is free to look at for 14 days. You pay $197 at checkout, on day one, to make it live.
When we refund you, your site pauses: visitors see a "this site is paused" page instead.
We keep your paused site saved for 60 days, so you can come back without starting over. After that it's deleted.
To come back within 60 days, email us. Your site goes live again when you pay again.
How to ask
Email support@firstgen.dev within 30 days of paying. A one-line email is enough: "Please refund my payment."
We reply to confirm, and send the refund through Stripe.
Stripe emails you a receipt for the refund.
Your bank shows it a few days later.
You can also send the request from the Help page in your dashboard. It reaches the same inbox.
If you'd rather keep your site live and just stop paying, cancel instead. Cancelling isn't a refund.
Cancelling
Cancel anytime from Billing in your dashboard. No call and no email needed.
The plan is $197 a month, month to month. There's no contract and no cancellation fee.
When you cancel, your site stays live until the end of the month you paid for, then pauses. It stays saved for 60 days.
Cancelling isn't a refund by itself. Within 30 days of paying, email us as above.
Charges after 30 days
After 30 days a charge isn't refundable, except to fix a billing mistake.
No partial months. When you cancel, you keep the month you've paid for. We don't refund the rest of it, and we don't charge you again.
Failed payments. If a card fails, Stripe retries for about 7 days and emails you. Your site stays up meanwhile, then pauses if it still fails.
Billing mistakes. If we charged you twice, charged the wrong amount, or charged after you cancelled, email support@firstgen.dev and we'll refund it, whenever you notice.
Chargebacks. Please talk to us before disputing a charge with your bank. A refund under this policy is always faster.
