Where FirstGen uses AI to write and edit sites, what goes to the model provider, and what AI never does, like write reviews.
What these terms cover
These terms are between Nexus Media LLC dba FirstGen ("FirstGen", "we", "us"), and your business. They add to the Terms of Service (firstgen.dev/legal/terms) and cover every place we use a language model. There are five, listed below. If we add one, we'll update this page first.
How your site is written
When we build your site, a language model drafts its text (headline, services, about) from your public business information: your Google listing, your website and your reviews. It's told to stay plain and specific, and not to invent facts like licenses, years in business, prices or guarantees. You see the result as a live preview before you pay anything, and you decide whether to keep it.
Editing by chat
In your dashboard you type what should change, like "add our Saturday hours" or "remove the third review", and the model proposes a change to your site's content. We check the change fits your site before saving it, and the preview reloads so you can see it. It tells you in a sentence what it changed, or why it can't.
Drafting your site: Writes your headline, services and about text from your public business information.
Editing by chat: Turns what you type in the dashboard chat into a change to your site's content.
Our emails to owners: Writes the short personal opening of the email telling an owner their preview exists.
Sorting replies: Reads replies to those emails and marks them interested, not interested, or stop.
The Ask box on firstgen.dev: Answers visitors' questions from what's on our own site.
The chat can change wording, services, hours, phone, address, about text, extra pages, and remove or reorder reviews and photos.
It can't change your layout, colors, fonts, code, forms, your domain or your billing. For design changes, email us.
It can't read another customer's site, your payment details, or anything outside your site's content.
It can't add photos it doesn't have. Send new photos to us by email.
Reviews are never written by AI
Every review on your site is quoted from your public Google Business Profile, with the reviewer's public name, and attributed to Google. The model is never asked to write, reword or invent a review, and the chat editor can only remove or reorder reviews. If you ever see a review on your site that isn't on Google, tell us at support@firstgen.dev and we'll take it down the same day.
The model provider
The model is provided by Anthropic through its API. For each task we send only what it needs: to draft or edit your site, your site's current content and your request; to write an email opening or sort a reply, the business's public details or the reply's text. We send nothing else: no payment details, no passwords, no other customer's data.
Anthropic doesn't use what we send through its API to train its models, under its commercial terms.
We don't train models on your data or your visitors' data, and we don't let anyone else.
Anthropic is listed as a provider in the Privacy Policy (firstgen.dev/legal/privacy).
If we ever switch providers, we'll update this page and the Privacy Policy before the change.
Check it before you keep it
A language model can be wrong, and can be wrong confidently. It can misread your listing, describe a service you don't offer, or phrase something badly. That's why you review the preview before you keep the site, and why every chat change shows on your site right away for you to check. If something's wrong, tell the chat or tell us, and we'll fix it. Nothing the model writes is legal, tax or financial advice.
Your edit history
Every request you type in the chat, the reply, and what changed are stored with your account so we can help when something looks off. Only you and our team can see them. They're deleted when your account is, as the Data Deletion (firstgen.dev/legal/data-deletion) page describes, and you can ask us to clear them sooner.
Acceptable use
Don't try to make the chat change another site, reveal our instructions, or reach anything outside your own content. It can't, and trying breaks the Acceptable Use Policy.
Don't use it to add claims you can't back up: licenses, awards, guarantees or reviews you don't have.
Don't type other people's private information into the chat. It only needs what should change.
Changes and contact
We may change the model version or improve how sites are written and edited. A change that lets AI do more than it does today, like change your design or send anything on your behalf, will be announced on this page and by email before it goes live.
