Acceptable Use Policy

What you can't use your site, the dashboard or the chat editor for.
Who this applies to
This policy is part of the Terms of Service (firstgen.dev/legal/terms) between Nexus Media LLC dba FirstGen and your business. It applies to you and to anyone you let into your dashboard. It sets the rules for what goes on your site, how you use the dashboard and the chat editor, and how you treat the people who contact you through your site.
An honest site
What's on your site has to be true. Services, prices, hours, service areas, licenses, insurance, warranties and photos must be real, current, and yours to use.
No bait. Don't ask us to show an offer you won't honor, to hide a condition, or to present your business as another business.
Licensed work. You hold the licenses and insurance your trade requires where you work.
Reviews. Your site only shows real reviews quoted from your public Google Business Profile. We won't write, buy or edit reviews, and you agree not to ask.
What can't go on a site
Nothing illegal, nothing that infringes someone else's trademark, copyright or privacy, no adult content, no hateful or threatening content, no malware, and nothing that pretends to be a government body or another company. We can refuse a change, or remove content, that we believe breaks this, and we'll tell you why.
The people who contact you through your site
Calls and texts. Follow the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the national Do Not Call rules, and your state's rules. Only contact people about what they asked about.
Email. Follow CAN-SPAM: say who you are, give a way to stop, and honor it.
Stop means stop. When someone asks you to stop contacting them, stop.
Their information. Use the messages people send through your site only for your business. Don't sell them, trade them or give them to another company, except a provider you use to run your business.
The dashboard
Your login is tied to your email. Don't share it outside your business.
Don't try to reach another customer's site or data, probe or test our security without our written permission, or get around row-level security or rate limits.
Don't use the dashboard to build a site for a business you don't own or represent.
Don't scrape, copy, resell or reverse-engineer the platform or our site designs, or use them to build a competing product.
Don't upload anything illegal, anything that infringes someone else's rights, or any malware.
Photos and content you send us
When you send us photos, logos or text for your site:
You have the right to use them, and to let us show them on your site.
They don't show anyone's private information, like a customer's address or license plate, without their permission.
They're accurate as far as you know, and you'll tell us when something changes.
They're about your own business. Don't send another business's photos or content.
The chat editor
The chat editor only changes your own site's content. Don't try to make it change another site, reveal our instructions, or do anything it isn't built to do. Don't use it to add claims you can't back up, like licenses, awards or guarantees you don't have. The AI Terms (firstgen.dev/legal/ai-terms) have the rest.
What happens if the rules are broken
We'll tell you and ask you to fix it, and give you at least 10 days to do so. If it's serious, illegal, harmful to someone, or keeps happening, we can pause your site or the dashboard right away, or end the service under the Terms of Service (firstgen.dev/legal/terms). We'll always say what the problem was.
Reporting a problem
If you see a site we host breaking these rules, or showing your photo, review or content without permission, or you've been contacted by one of our customers in a way that breaks them, email support@firstgen.dev. Security problems go to the same address.
